Great place for food and ice cream. But let's not forget they sell the most famous bakers bake cakes. No one does the better.
Grab a mean brew after a ramble up to Jubilee Tower (Darwen Tower to you and me) I can recommend the potato pie and gravy what with a bit of pepper will put hairs on your chest but I’m told by the lovely staff (who speak fluent Lancastrian) the local delicacy is butter pie. By ‘Eck!
Nice little place and a lovely couple running the place. Service with a smile made us feel very welcome. Lovely cakes too. Will definitely visit again.
Nice half way house stop if you're on any of the many walks round the reservoirs and through the woods. Car park on site. Pub next door. Picnic benches available.
Brilliant service. Lovely staff. Perfect stop.on the hike.
This is exactly how a country cafe should be run. Great home cooked food at very reasonable prices. The jacket potato (King Edward) was cooked to perfection with a choice of fillings and a side salad for just 5 is real value. The service is exceptiona to with attentive, friendly staff. It’s a very clean and tidy establishment. Top marks all round.
Great value breakfast 10 with a brew! Very welcoming and great location for a ramble or to soak up a bit of fresh air.
